Arctic Precision is our youth competitive shooting team.
This team is comprised of high school age athletes; 14 to 18 who have completed at least one season of rifle with a high school team. These athletes are members of their High School Rifle teams through Fairbanks North Star Borough School District (Hutchison, Lathrop or West Valley) during the Fall Sports season and join forces in the spring to shoot in matches across Alaska and the United States. Our team competes in matches hosted by the CMP and USA Shooting. These athletes have the opportunities to attend CMP 3PAR State Championships, USA Shooting Junior Olympics Qualifiers, USA Shooting Junior Olympic Championships, CMP 3PAR National Championships and more. Youth Shooting Programs - Arctic Precision Juniors
The Arctic Precision Junior Rifle Program is a safe, structured, and age-appropriate introduction to precision rifle shooting for students in grades 6 to 8 (minimum age 12).
Designed to build strong fundamentals, confidence, and character, the program emphasizes safety, responsibility, focus, and sportsmanship while developing marksmanship skills.
Athletes are introduced to Olympic-style disciplines including three-position smallbore (.22 LR), and 60-shot standing air rifle. We also introduce Civilian Marksmanship Program's 3 Position Air Rifle. Instruction is development-based and tailored to each athlete’s age and experience. Space is limited and participation is by application. Prior shooting experience is welcome but not required.
